VIDEO: Will MacKenzie uses artificial turf to make par at No. 17 at The Players

Will MacKenzie got a bad bounce after his tee shot at the par-3 17th at TPC Sawgrass on Friday hit the boards surrounding the island green. Fortunately, the ball stayed dry, landing in the walkway to the putting surface.

However, MacKenzie faced a tricky chip shot towards the back left hole location, leaving him little room to hit the ball. So he came up with a solution. MacKenzie used his wedge to hit his ball onto the artificial turf portion of the walkway, bouncing his ball up onto the green to leave a short putt for an outstanding par.

MacKenzie missed the cut for the fourth time in a row at The Players, but he did make the highlight reel for years to come.
