The 2015 LPGA Tour season begins this week at the first-ever Coates Golf Championship atĀ Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club in Ocala, Fla.
Golden Ocala is a unique venue because eight of its 18 holes are replicas, built in tribute of architecture elsewhere on the planet. The eight holes are pulled from five major-championship courses, including Royal Troon, Muirfield, Augusta National, the Old Course at St. Andrews and Baltusrol. More specifically, here are the eight replica holes on the Golden Ocala course and their inspirations:
No. 4: Royal Troon's "Postage Stamp" par-3 eighth
No. 5: Muirfield's par-5 ninth
No. 6: Augusta National Golf Club's par-3 16th
No. 11: Augusta National Golf Club's par-3 12th
No. 12: Augusta National Golf Club's par-5 13th
No. 13: The Old Course at St. Andrews's par-4 "Road Hole" 17th
No. 14: The Old Course at St. Andrews' opening hole
No. 15: The par-3 fourth at Baltusrol's Lower Course
