Steve Stricker didn't get it done. The 47-year-old recent Ryder Cup assistant captain had five chances to land a ball from atop the video board at the University of Wisconsin's Camp Randall football stadium on the logo W at midfield.
Stricker, who is from Wisconsin but went to the University of Illinois, didn't get the job done. Had he been able to do it, Stricker would have won a lucky fan some great Wanamaker Club tickets to next August's PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis.

Observers said Stricker was practicing before the stadium opened this morning and nailed the shot three times in practice. It was that game-time pressure that kept Stricker from hitting a trademark, tight wedge.
