Jack Nicklaus hits the campaign trail for Fla. governor Rick Scott

Jack Nicklaus hit the campaign trail on Wednesday. No, not for his campaign to roll back the distance golf balls travel for pros, but for Florida governor Rick Scott.

Nicklaus spent time with Scott at several campaign stops in the Palm Beach Gardens area, saying at one stop that Scott “has given us reasons to be proud Floridians," according to the Palm Beach Post.

Scott faces a challenge from former governor Charlie Crist, who was a Republican but now identifies as a Democrat. No matter your political bent, you have to give Scott credit for agreeing to snap a picture with Nicklaus for an admitted Crist supporter.

This isn't the first time Nicklaus has campaigned for Scott. Nicklaus stumped for Scott in January. He also has previously campaigned on behalf of former president George W. Bush, 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Ohio senate candidate Rob Portman.
