Bill Murray usually has a unique look on the golf course -- somewhat iconoclastic and fun. Now you can have golf clothes that borrow from Murray's eye for fashion and his philosophy on golf.
Bill Murray and his brother have teamed with John Resig and Resignation Media (the folks who own The Chive) for William Murray Golf, a golf lifestyle and apparel brand.
The logo of the brand is a silhouette of Murray flicking his putter away in disgust at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. You know, this picture:
The relationship between Murray and Resig was born when The Chive put out a T-shirt featuring Murray's image that sold like hot cakes. Resig reached out to Murray, who didn't ask for a cut but rather a donation to the Caddyshack Foundation that he runs with his brother.
Some of the products, including a hat and polo, are already available online, and the full line launches on Oct. 20.
The first polo available, called "This Is The Year," plays on Murray's love for the Chicago Cubs, using their blue pinstripes and having a WM patch on the arm that borrows on the Cubs logo. The shirt retails for $75.
