Henrik Stenson doesn't use a driver much. Why would he when he can go thermonuclear long with his 3-wood?

Stenson isn't using the latest in technology, however. He's using a Callaway Golf 3-wood from 2011. The Iceman plays a Callaway Golf Diablo Octane Tour 3-wood, something you can find online these days for about $35. It's a 13-degree model with a Grafalloy Blue X shaft.

He uses a Callaway Golf XR driver and 4-wood, a club he put into the bag for 2016 -- one of three he switched out with their introduction. Stenson, however, does not have the 5-wood in the bag for the 2016 British Open Championship.

Stenson's decision to play and stick with a club that's now five years old is a telling story for amateurs who like to change clubs at every opportunity. If you find a club that works for you as often (relatively speaking) as Stenson's 3-wood works out for him, then hold onto it and hit it every chance you get!
