Gary Woodland got guff for Under Armour for shot in his underwear

During the third round of The Honda Classic back at the end of February, Gary Woodland's tee shot on the sixth hole found a water hazard at PGA National. However, Woodland could see and hit his ball, so he stripped down to his shirt and underwear and pulled it off.

As it turns out, Under Armour, one of Woodland's big sponsors, gave him a hard time about that. Not because he hit from his underwear. Because he hit from his Under Armour underwear without showing off that it was Under Armour underwear.

"The next day, [UA] wanted to know why I wasn't wearing Under Armour underwear," Woodland said. "I said 'I was!' Their underwear is some of the best stuff they have."

The folks at the Baltimore-based company didn't know that because Woodland's Under Armour golf shirt was covering up the waistband of his underwear which had "Under Armour" on it.

Woodland said, "They said, 'Next time, make sure to tuck your shirt in.'"
