Ha Na Jang made LPGA Tour history on Saturday in the third round of the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic, the 2016 season-opener, by scoring the first-ever par-4 hole-in-one.

On the par-4 eighth hole, with the tees moved up significantly to 218 yards, Jang made an ace to go from 1 under on the round to 4 under on the back of the albatross.

Jang, who went out among the earlier tee times on Saturday, finished the round with another birdie to shoot a bogey-free, 5-under 68 on the par-73 Ocean Club Golf Course at Paradise Island. Ranked 13th in the Rolex Rankings, Jang had four runner-up finishes on the LPGA Tour last season, including in the season-opening Coates Golf Championship in Ocala, Fla.

There has only ever been one hole-in-one on a par 4 in a PGA Tour event, which Andrew Magee did in the 2001 Waste Management Phoenix Open on the 17th hole at TPC Scottsdale.
