VIDEO: Watch a golfer chip a ball backwards over his shoulder

Just when it seems trick-shot innovation has come to a standstill, we find a shot we've never seen and it blow us away.

We have seen the likes of Phil Mickelson hit the ball backwards with a wedge, a rapid wrist move and the benefit of a very uphill lie. However, fellow Arizona State product Mathias Schjoelberg managed to teach himself how to hit a wedge backwards and over his shoulder off a standard-issue lie.

Getting good at the shots I'll never need. #golf #golfer #asu #asugolf #sundevils
