You may have seen an ad not too long ago for Volvo heavy machinery in which an excavator is used to hit a golf ball toward and into a golf hole. And you probably thought, There's no way this actually happened.

Volvo wants you to know: Of course, you're right.

In a video they posted to YouTube, the company showed just how much of a struggle it was to operate a golf-club wielding excavator and make it hit a golf ball. In fact, the best they did among several takes was to hit the ball about 8 yards. Eight.

So, now you know: The USGA won't be replacing an Iron Byron anytime soon.
