REVIEW: Mission Belts will change life around your waist

Most everyone has a favorite belt. It's small, yeah, but it's an important touch in anything you wear. A belt can complete the look, blending in or standing out.

The problem with belts is that they have a shelf life. Either the holes get worn out too large and break, the buckle gives way or we, um, outgrow a belt. These are problems Mission Belt Co. saw and has solved.

The belt straps (either 35 mm or 40 mm) are made of high-quality leather and come in four size ranges based on your waist. The belts are have no buckle holes, instead using a track system that integrates with a proprietary buckle. That means a great fit, too, because the belts adjust in quarter-inch increments. The fit can be changed by simply pressing out a lever on the underside of the buckle and moving the belt as needed.

There are a host of straps and buckle styles, all of which are interchangeable within the same size family. Whatever the occasion, Mission Belts have it surrounded. With every belt purchased, Mission sets aside $1 for microlending to small businesses in developing countries with the aim of fighting hunger and poverty.

Belt and buckle combos start at $35, with extra straps and buckles starting around $20.
