PODCAST: Tiger Woods vs. Dan Jenkins, and what did this accomplish?

Tiger Woods wasn't too happy with a satirical interview authored by Dan Jenkins and published -- clearly marked as such -- in the December issue of Golf Digest. He took to The Players Tribune, founded by friend and fellow Excel Sports Management client Derek Jeter, to lambaste the piece, which he feels is full of untruths, angry and bitter in tone and borders on "character assassination."

Jenkins and Digest responded in kind, defending the piece and lapping up Web traffic after making the previously print-only piece available on the Web.

Ultimately, what did this all accomplish, for both men? What does this mean going forward for Woods and how he deals with the broader media? Would he have done this had he not been near universally backed in his kerfuffle last year with Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee?

We take a look at those issues in this week's "The 19th Hole Golf Show."
