There are just some things that are not to be made into a commercial opportunity. Anything and everything surrounding the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, is one of those things.

Bikram Arlington, a yoga studio in Virginia, made that mistake with a since-deleted tweet it sent on Thursday morning.

The tweet reads: "9+11 = 20% OFF! PATRIOT DAY SALE on Bikram Yoga" with a link to a sale site. Soon thereafter, the account then tweeted defensively, "The goal was to point out what date it was and to associate to patriotism and to remember it. Its a shame some of you go to the negative."

Since that pair of tweets, the studio has sent a trio of apology tweets.

A year ago, Tumbledown Trails Golf Course in Wisconsin made a similar poor judgment in offering 9 holes of golf with cart for $9.11 and an 18-hole round for $19.11 to "commemorate" Sept. 11.
