Former Masters champion Mike Weir was looking for an edge in 2021. He joined the PGA Tour Champions after turning 50 and wanted to make a splash with a chance at a second wind sprint to finish his career. And that led him to Payntr Golf shoes.

Looking for an Edge

Weir was searching online for equipment, and he found Payntr Golf. The performance shoe company's designs and technology intrigued Weir, so he placed an order for the Payntr X 001 F.

Finding Payntr Golf

In looking through their orders that day, Payntr realized they had a purchase from the 2003 Masters champion. They reached out to Weir directly and started a relationship that saw him try out the shoes for himself. Weir had won on the PGA Tour Champions in 2021 at the Insperity Invitational, and wanted more.

Payntr Noticed

Now Mike Weir is Payntr Golf's first ambassador, and he'll wear the shoes in competition as a staffer. He expects the shoes will help him create more speed by using ground forces more efficiently, and that will lead to more distance off the tee -- and perhaps more PGA Tour Champions wins.
