If you’re new to head-to-head matchups betting in golf, sportsbooks give bettors a variety of one-on-one or group matchups, pitting players against each other in a single round or for an entire tournament. Of course, before the tournament, we’re looking at either first-round wagers or whole-tournament wagers. If only one of the players makes the cut, then that player is the winner by default, assuming they finish.

This week, we have the Sentry Tournament of Champions. We’re going to go a little deeper than the usual three matchups we provide. (We went 2-0-1 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in our last outing.)
Marc Leishman (+155) over Billy Horschel: This one runs quite counter to my model. It’s just a gut feeling given Leishman’s history here.
Collin Morikawa (+105) over Viktor Hovland: This is the opposite. My model has Hovland one spot in front of Morikawa. That’s close enough for me to get the plus side.
Kevin Na (+155) over Sungjae Im: The model has these two guys right next to each other. Have to take the juice, even though Sungjae likely has bigger upside.[/s2If]
