If you’re new to head-to-head matchups betting in golf, sportsbooks give bettors a variety of one-on-one or group matchups, pitting players against each other in a single round or for an entire tournament. Of course, before the tournament, we’re looking at either first-round wagers or whole-tournament wagers. If only one of the players makes the cut, then that player is the winner by default, assuming they finish.

This week, we have the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, er, Shadow Creek. We haven’t done matchups in two weeks, largely because I’ve been on vacation. But we went 2-1 last time out, so we’ve been on a good run in the start of the new season.

Jason Kokrak (-110) over Bubba Watson: Kokrak has been playing well, and he’s an MGM guy, so he has a handle on this golf course.

Gary Woodland (+105) over Rickie Fowler: Two players not at their best at the moment, but I’ll take Woodland over Fowler given Rickie’s remodeled swing isn’t fully grooved yet.

Louis Oosthuizen (EVEN) over Scottie Scheffler: I’m a huge Scheffler fan, but the guy is just not on the money at the moment.
