Nike has shown a desire over the years to work with companies co-located with them in the Pacific Northwest, collaborating on apparel and shoes that highlight brands not quite as big as the Swoosh.

They're doing it again in the golf space, with Nike Golf announcing a collaboration with Seamus Golf, as well Pendleton Woolen Mills — in a variation of the Nike Golf Air Zoom Victory Tour dubbed the Solstice.

Seamus Golf was founded in 2011 by Akbar and Megan Chisti, and the couple have grown their business tremendously in the eight years since. From making headcovers to travel bags to golf bags to shoes of their own, Seamus has become a chic brand in the world of golf accessories and apparel. The Chisti hammer and anvil have become a common site at the US Open merch tent, as well at the Korn Ferry Tour's regular-season finale in Portland to create custom PGA Tour cards for the 25 latest graduates of the developmental circuit.

The Chistis have also worked with other similar-minded brands over the years, including Pendleton Woolen Mills, with whom Seamus first collaborated on a line of headcovers using their wool in 2015. Those headcovers are an inspiration for this new shoe with Nike.

The outsole plate and foam sockliner draw influence from the jacquard wollen designs of those headcovers. Pendleton's wordmark is on tag on the lateral side of the shoe, with leather and camo waxed canvas finishing details. There's a Seamus logo on the tongue and a debossed shield.

Nike, of course, brought in their technological expertise into the shoe's performance. Nike React foam is designed to deliver an energetic feel to the golfer as they play while not weighing down the player. The hybrid outsole has integrated traction elements with six removable spikes on the lateral sides and heel.

The hybrid outsole design features integrated traction, which offers versatility and rotational control, while the removable spikes around the lateral sides and heel provide pinnacle gripping power.

The Nike Golf and Seamus Golf collaboration Nike Golf Air Zoom Victory Tour is available Dec. 12 at 7 a.m. Pacific from Nike's website and app for $200.
