FootJoy expands FJ Flex line with new styles and colors

FootJoy is looking to build on the success of the FJ Flex series, expanding the line with a waterproof offering and a stylish shoe sporting a classic winged-tip look.

The FJ Flex XP is the waterproof shoe entering the franchise, with a totally new performance-mesh upper and a one-year guarantee. Like the original Flex, the Flex XP is designed with comfort in mind, using an EVA fitbed that aims to provide a sock-like fit. The shoe continues to have a sporty look and a Versa-Trax spikeless outsole. The Versa-Trax outsole has pointy traction elements placed where the foot applies maximum pressure on the ground during the swing, balanced with larger no-slip surfaces for traction and durability.

What may catch the eye of golfers with a taste for classic styles is the FJ Flex LE1, which is a limited-edition release featuring a suede Wingtip Blucher upper. On the sole, translucent rubber traction elements allow the shoe to maintain a classier, high-end look while delivering stability. An EVA midsole sits above the outsole.

The FJ Flex LE1 is offered in three colors with soft suede finish.

The FootJoy Flex XP is available in four colors -- black, grey, white and blue, all laced -- for $125 per paid. The FJ Flex LE1 is available in three all-over suedes -- tan, grey and navy -- for $165 per pair.
