2019 CJ Cup at Nine Bridges one-and-done fantasy golf picks

With the PGA Tour deciding to offer a one-and-done fantasy golf platform, as well the increasing number of private one-and-done leagues, we here at Golf News Net will offer weekly one-and-done fantasy golf picks separate from our weekly fantasy golf rankings and picks.

We began with the 2019 Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, continue at the 2019 CJ Cup at Nine Bridges this week and will continue through to the Tour Championship in Atlanta in August 2020, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on theĀ one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

First of all, apologies for not doing fantasy posts last week. I was on a 10-day travel spree that wrapped today, and I didn't have a whole lot of time to get to a keyboard. However, I would have told you to pick Scottie Scheffler in Houston and to avoid DFS like the plague.

Now we have the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, the first of three Asian events with no cut and plenty of top players from which to choose for one and done. Go with top names in these events you won't pick in the majors, just as you would for a WGC.

2019 CJ Cup at Nine Bridges One and Done picks

  • Brooks Koepka: If you're looking into your crystal ball and say Brooks' run is done in the majors, then a place like this might be a good spot for him as defending champion.
  • Justin Thomas: JT might be a fascinating pick given he does well in Asian events (Malaysia, RIP).
  • Danny Willett: I think this is where I'm going because Willett is playing well, but he won't burn me on another PGA Tour event.
  • Kevin Na: Na making the revelations about his past issues with a former fiancee could be freeing, and this could be a show-off kinda game for him.

My pick this week will be Danny Willett. Nothing to lose in him playing this week, and he has handled wind well in the past.

2019-2020 PGA Tour One-and Done Picks

  1. A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier: Viktor Hovland (T-10)
  2. Sanderson Farms Championship: Denny McCarthy (T-18)
  3. Safeway Open: Kevin Na (MC)
  4. Shriners Hospitals for Children Open: Webb Simpson (T-7)
  5. Houston Open: Scottie Scheffler (T-28)
  6. CJ Cup at Nine Bridges: Danny Willett
