WATCH: Fallen tree leads to electrical fire and explosion on PGA Tour Latinoamerica

Steven Fox and his playing partners had finished their second hole of the day in Friday's second round of the 88th Abierto OSDE del Centro in Cordoba, Argentina, when they saw something that made them stop and stare.

A 20-foot-tall tree had fallen just off the 10th hole at host Cordoba Golf Club, landing on electrical wiring and causing a fire to start. As Fox and his playing partners watched it all happen, the 2012 US Amateur champion had the wisdom to pull out his phone and start recording.

Not but a few second later, Fox and his partners had to run for it when the fire turned into a loud explosion.

Fortunately, there were no projectiles from the explosion, and no one was injured.

The incident didn't bother Fox at all. He went on to shoot a second round of 2-under 69, getting to the weekend at 1-under total and inside the top 20 heading into the final two rounds.

Fox has been bouncing around tours the last few years, not playing under a PGA Tour umbrella tour since 2016 on the Tour. In three events in this PGA Tour Latinoamerica season, Fox has scored a single cash, a T-40 finish.

Maybe this will be the spark he needs to move forward in his career.

I'll show myself out.
