Nicolas Colsaserts is one of the longest hitters in pro golf. The 36-year-old multi-time European Tour winner and former Ryder Cup European team member has enjoyed a solid career.
The Belgian bomber has long been able to overpower golf courses, but that hasn't translated into holes-in-one. Colsaerts had never enjoyed an ace...in his life. Until now.
Colaserts is in the Middle East, preparing the European Tour season to resume at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship next week in the United Arab Emirates. Playing at Trump International Golf Club in neighboring Dubai, Colsaerts made a hole-in-one to break the streak. And it just happened to be on a par 4.
It's been a pretty incredible few weeks for Colsaerts, who married Rachel Miley Smith in Australia. Not a bad way to move from 2018 to 2019.
Colsaerts is 185th in the Official World Golf Ranking and will look to build up his ranking again as the Ryder Cup cycle starts once again.
