The last golf game EA Sports released was "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" in 2015. Over the last three years, EA Sports hasn't released a new game, but it has continually improved the game through online releases, adding new courses and functionality.
However, EA Sports has now pulled the game from online channels, namely for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The original expiration date given was May 22, but it appears the game has been removed ahead of that date from both both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store, according to ComicBook.com.
While the 2015 title will no longer be available digitally, it can be purchased from a video game seller and then be updated through online channels. Those who have purchased the game online won't lose it.
This typically happens when game licenses expire, and it also could indicate a new game is forthcoming. EA Sports' EA Play upfront is coming up in California in June, and that could be where such a game is announced.
