Brooks Koepka has a mysterious wrist injury. He can't seem to figure out what's causing it and neither can doctors trying to help him with the pain.

For the second-consecutive tournament, Kopeka finished in last place in a no-cut event, following a last-place showing at the 18-man 2017 Hero World Challenge (where he still made $100,000) with a last-place showing in the 34-man 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions (where he still made $60,000). Koepka isn't certain when he suffered the left wrist injury, but he first experienced discomfort and pain with it at the Hero in the Bahamas.

“It feels like someone is jabbing a knife in my hand,” Koepka said, according to PGATour.com. Golf World also reported on Koepka's injury.

“We are still in the process of trying to figure out what it is. Nobody can come up with an answer right now. I just know it hurts. It is still attached, so that’s a good thing.”

Koepka said his wrist hurts through the entire swing, not just at impact, when the wrist feels the brunt of striking the golf ball and the turf.

The US Open champion has battled through 144 tournament holes with the injury, and he said he has no plans on quitting or going on the shelf. However, at some point, the pain just isn't worth it. He has a few weeks to figure out what's happening, as he plans to play next at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, played Feb. 1-4 at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.
