Lexi Thompson went skydiving into her LPGA Kingsmill Championship pro-am tee time

Lexi Thompson knows how to make an entrance.

Thompson literally parachuted in to her Wednesday pro-am tee time for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship on the LPGA, part of a stunt related to an announcement of her new relationship with a military-honor charity.

The former Kraft Nabisco Championship winner and 2017 runner-up hopped out of a plane for the first time to skydive into Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., as part of revealing a charitable partnership with the SEAL Legacy Foundation.

Thompson made the slide landing after jumping in tandem with a Navy SEAL, then went to the first tee, greeted her pro-am partners and teed off. Not a bad start.

Thompson will wear blue camouflage on Sundays to supper the SEAL Legacy Foundation, adding to her customary Saturday pink in honor of research into and awareness of breast cancer. The SEAL Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to families of wounded and fallen U.S. Navy SEALs.

In what's dubbed Lexi's Legacy Challenge, continuing through November 11, Thompson will wear a commemorative SEAL Legacy Foundation Pin during competition. Folks who donate $25 or more will receive the same pin.
