Jordan Spieth, defending champion Rickie Fowler and Phil Mickelson were among the many big names to miss the cut on Saturday morning at The Players Championship.
All three players finished at 1-under 143, a shot off the cut. They were joined on that number by Masters champion Danny Willett, Patrick Reed, Kevin Na and U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III.
Smylie Kaufman missed the cut by five shots, posting 3-over 146 along with Brandt Snedeker.
Henrik Stenson, the 2009 Players winner, scored a shocking 6-over total for the first two rounds.
Spieth missed the cut for the second year in a row in this event. With Fowler missing the cut, there will still not have been a back-to-back winner in championship history.
