Here are the longest stretches between wins on the PGA Tour

When Vaughn Taylor won the 2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, he ended a decade-plus winless drought on the PGA Tour, picking up his third career win and first that wasn't in the Reno-Tahoe Open.

In fact, Taylor's last win came in a successive title defense at Reno on Aug. 21, 2005. The stretch was 10 years, 5 months and 24 days between wins for the Augusta State University product.

However, that isn't even close to the longest drought between PGA Tour wins. Robert Gamez holds that honor, going 15 years, 6 months between winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 1990 and the Valero Texas Open in 2005.

Here are the longest stretches between wins in PGA Tour history:

  • 15 years, 6 months -- Robert Gamez (Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 25, 1990 - Valero Texas Open on Sept. 25, 2005), 396 starts
  • 15 years, 5 months, 10 days -- Butch Baird (Waco Turner Open on May 7, 1961 - San Antonio Texas Open on Oct. 17, 1976), 240 starts
  • 14 years, 8 months, 2 days -- Ed Fiori (Bob Hope Desert Classic on Jan. 17, 1982 - Quad Cities Classic on Sept. 15, 1996), 409 starts
  • 13 years, 8 months -- Tommy Armour III (Phoenix Open on Jan. 28, 1990 - Valero Texas Open on Sept. 28, 2003), 366 starts
  • 13 years, 8 months -- Joey Sindelar (Hardee's Golf Classic on Sept. 9, 1990- Wells Fargo Championship on May 9, 2004), 370 starts
