Kevin Kisner bravely proves it’s OK to practice golf wearing jeans…or not?

Jeans are a sensitive subject in golf. There's a segment of the golf world that is fine with folks playing the game, even on top-tier courses, in jeans. There's another, more vocal segment, that is completely opposed to that idea.

Kevin Kisner, who is enjoying a breakthrough season on the PGA Tour, may incidentally fire back up that debate after he showed up to East Lake, site of this week's Tour Championship, on Tuesday wearing jeans. The Atlanta club was closed to the public on Tuesday, so players could practice wearing clothes within reason. Kisner went with a nice pair of blues, as shared by ESPN's Michael Collins.

However, as it turns out, they aren't actually jeans. They're just jean-looking slacks, according to Golf Digest. Kisner explained his AG Green Protege pants are made of cotton, not denim. So, while they're sometimes classified as jeans, they're technically not.

Nevertheless, this is wonderful, and more players should try this, especially if the Tour is going to keep more event venues closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. Instead of Casual Fridays, make it Casual Tuesday on Tour.
