VIDEO: A.J. Hawk tackles willing fan at celebrity golf tournament

WBAY

When someone gets tackled at a golf tournament, it's typically because they're somewhere off limits. For an NFL fan at the American Century Championship this week, he was exactly where he wanted to be when he was dropped to the ground.

A fan at the Lake Tahoe celebrity golf tournament asked Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk to tackle him -- sans pads -- during the pro-am for the event. Hawk, who is still a few weeks away from training camp, was happy to oblige the fan.

"I hit him pretty solid in the ribs," Hawk told to the local ABC affiliate. "It felt good."

The man can thank his friends for the inspired tackle, as they were egging on the former Ohio State star.

The fan steps under the ropes, moves to the side and takes his licking like a man. After he's dropped, he gets back to his feet and embraces Hawk as thanks for the thumping.
