Charl Schwartzel sticks shot from concrete path close, misses putt

For mere mortals like us, the idea of trying to pick a golf ball clean off of a concrete path sounds like a trip to Broken Wrist City. For major champions like Charl Schwartzel, it looks like the best lie from which to stick his approach shot close.

Schwartzel found himself on a concrete path off the par-4 16th at Durban C.C. in the final round of the Volvo Golf Champions in South Africa. Left without a better option if he took relief from the path, Schwartzel decided to take a cut at the ball from the concrete. The result?  A shot to a handful of feet. The bad news is that he missed the birdie putt.
