Golf cart explodes somehow, guys film the burning

Apparently, golf carts catch fire from time to time. And with all of the plastic on them, they melt spectacularly. That's what we learned from this video shot by a couple of guys who say they discovered the the cart.

The video, shot off the seventh hole at Corpus Christi Country Club in Texas, picks up with the cart already in flames and emergency personnel on the way to put out the fire.

The guys in the film seem scared to get anywhere near the cart as sparks fly and the fire spits, which is a good idea. The cart is clearly gas-powered and appears to be a work cart as opposed to one golfers use to get around the course.

As the emergency personnel comes, it seems they don't want to go back through the parking lot of the golf course because they might get into some kind of legal trouble.

Later, the YouTube user uploaded another video of the cart burning. The driver was able to escape without injury.
