Tiger Woods was playing for second place in the FedEx Cup on Sunday at East Lake in the final round of the Tour Championship. However, Woods must have felt like a winner when his kids and girlfriend were there to greet him after a closing 3-under 67.
Woods' kids, Sam and Charlie, ran out to meet Woods after he putted out to end his Tour Championship and the 2013 PGA Tour season. The kids were hanging out with Woods' girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, throughout the round.
Over the last month and a half, Woods, who has gone out of his way to keep his children shielded from media attention, has brought Sam and Charlie on the road with him to several tournaments.
Woods carried Charlie with him after victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August.
Then, Sam was seen following around her father during the Deutsche Bank Championship.
After his tournament was finished, the world No. 1 put the whole FedEx Cup into perspective.
“That’s what life’s all about,” Woods said. “There are more important things in life than hitting a little round ball and putting it in a gopher hole, you know.”
