President Barack Obama found himself talking golf in Belfast at this week's G-8 summit. Of course while on the topic, the Commander-in-Chief had to namedrop Northern Ireland's most successful golfer.
Obama mentioned that he ran into McIlroy last year when he was in the Ulster capital and that the now world No. 2 golfer tried to help the president with his swing.
The American leader said McIlroy "offered to get [his] swing sorted," but that Obama's action "needed help."
McIlroy responded to the president's shoutout on Twitter.
Nice of @BarackObama to mention me in his speech today in Belfast... But I think he should be helping me with my swing after last week! Haha

Between a T-41 finish at Merion and the bent wedge McIlroy was left holding, he might have a point.
