Michael Phelps may have announced his retirement from competitive swimming after secured a record 22 Olympics medals in his career, but the Baltimore native may have one race left in him.

It's with Masters champion Bubba Watson.

Phelps spoke with Reuters after his final race in London, not only re-affirming his intention to retire from the game but also his desire to improve as a golfer.

"Bubba said I'm a good swimmer but still terrible at golf," Phelps said. "So maybe I'll challenge him to swimming and we can go on a golf course after that, that will be (all) my competitive swimming after I'm done."

Lexi Thompson would like a piece of Phelps after Watson is done. She tweeted to Phelps on Monday looking for a tee time.

"Hi @MichaelPhelps it's @lexi Thompson (17yr old pro golfer) Congrats on everything! If u ever want to play a round of golf let me know !#goUSA"
