That’s not Godzilla, it’s Ernesto the Prediction Iguana at the cashier’s window collecting his winnings. A gargantuan 8-0 week (4-0 in teasers) puts the season totals at a blistering 59-19-2 (21-17-2 in teasers).

OH, OH! THERE GOES TO-KY-O! GO, GO, ERNESTO!
OH, OH! THERE GOES TO-KY-O! GO, GO, ERNESTO!

Since coming back from being benched early in the year, the animal kingdom’s top sports prognosticator has been burning it up in his typical late season tear. He’s 21-9 since Halloween, 13-1 in the last two weeks.

Notes:

  • All picks are based on six-points teasers
  • Home team in CAPS

Here are this week’s winners:

OVER EASY!

RAIDERS-Chargers OVER 39

Both teams can score, but that really hasn’t been the problem this season…

BRONCOS-Bengals OVER 36

So what that it’s a battle of back-ups? They have plenty of offensive weapons, and playoff positioning is at stake. All hands on deck, and let fly the dogs of war.

NFC LEAST!

VIKINGS-Giants UNDER 51

The suspension of Odell Beckham Jr. is big enough to change this game from an over pick to an under call. He’s the Paul Warfield of this generation (well, he and Antonio Brown).

EAGLES-Washington OVER 38

After the drubbing the Cardinals put on the Pigeons…err…Eagles last week, Washington fans are snarling, “If you lose this game, don’t come home.”

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP COLLISION COURSE?

Patriots (+3) at JETS

Tough game for the Pats in a hostile place. The Jets play them so well, but even decimated by injuries, New England keeps reloading. Plus top seed in the AFC is still up for grabs.

Bengals (+9.5) at BRONCOS

That’s too many points for team with as much depth at skill positions as Cincinnati has.
