Scottie Scheffler had the best year in the major championships in 2025, winning both the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and the British Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

However, taking the four majors in total, Scheffler's 2025 may have been even more impressive.

In 2025, there were 15 players who made the cut and completed all four major championships. Of those 15 players, Scheffler topped the combined leaderboard, finishing at 32 under par in the combined 16 major championship rounds, adding in the Masters and the US Open at Oakmont Country Club.

The next-best player in the majors in 2025 was Rory McIlroy, who finished at 11 under par for the season, including a career Grand Slam-clinching win in the Masters. Xander Schauffele, who won two majors in 2024 (the same ones Scheffler did this year), was in solo third place on 10-under total.

Four other players finished under par for all four majors in 2025. Jon Rahm finished at 6 under par, while two-time major runner-up Harris English came in at 5 under par. Both Matt Fitzpatrick and Tyrrell Hatton were 1 under for the 16 major rounds this year.

The US Open champion, JJ Spaun, finished on 1 over par in his first season in which he competed in all four majors.
