The 2020 Safeway Open field is set with the passing of the typical Friday entry deadline. The field is set for this event, played at Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif.

The Safeway Open field is headlined by the likes of Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson. Last year's winner, Cameron Champ, is not back to defend this year, as he prepares to compete in the US Open after playing in the Tour Championship last week.

This is set to be a 156-player field is played out over four days, with this event marking the start of the 2020-2021 PGA Tour season.

The tournament is being played in its normally intended slot, once again becoming the season kickoff after Greenbrier left the schedule following last season.

We do not yet have the two Monday qualifiers for this event.

The field will be playing for a $6.6 million purse, with 8 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking among the top contenders.
