The 2019 The RSM Classic final leaderboard is headed by winner Tyler Duncan, with the 31-year-old Indiana native picking up his first PGA Tour win with a playoff victory over Webb Simpson at Sea Island Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga.

Both players finished regulation at 19-under 263, forcing sudden death to determine the winner of the final official PGA Tour event of 2019. On the second playoff hole, Duncan managed to make a 12-footer for birdie and the win, securing a breakthrough.

Sebastian Munoz, who won the Sanderson Farms Championship already this fall season, finished a shot out of the playoff on 18-under total.

Brendon Todd, who was vying to become the first player since Tiger Woods to win three-consecutive PGA Tour starts, finished alone in fourth on 16-under total, three out of the playoff after a closing 72.

Duncan won the $1,188,000 winner's share of the $6,600,000 purse.

The RSM Classic recap notes

This was the last event of the fall portion of the 2019-2020 PGA Tour schedule. The 2019-2020 PGA Tour schedule resumes in January with the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Duncan gains entry to the event with the victory.

Scottie Scheffler seems on his way toward winning the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award, posting a T-5 finish as he continues to impress coming off his season on the Korn Ferry Tour.

One amateur, Davis Thompson, made the cut and finished T-23. He was the only amateur in the field.

With the win, Duncan gains entry into the Masters. He's the sixth player this fall season -- joining Joaquin Niemann, Munoz, Cameron Champ, Brendon Todd and Lanto Griffin -- to get a Masters invite through this portion of the schedule.
