The 2019 Nedbank Golf Challenge purse is set for $7.5 million, with the winner's share coming in at $2,500,000 -- considerably more than the standard 16.67 percent payout according to the European Tour's prize money distribution chart.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge purse is effectively two purses in one. The winner gets $2.5 million for taking home the title this week. Then, after that $2.5 million is paid to the winner, the rest of the field is paid based on a $5 million purse.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge field is headed by Tommy Fleetwood, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Louis Oosthuizen.
With this being a no-cut event -- as are all events in the European Tour Final Series -- pay is different for all players by place compared to the normal pay scale.
The Race to Dubai points for the final three events are increased in succession, with the points standings determining the field for the final event of the season. The top 50 players in the standings after this week advance to the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
The event is played this year at Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
