The 2019 Bermuda Championship purse is set for $3 million, with the winner's share coming in at $540,000 -- the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.
The Bermuda Championship field is headed by Scottie Scheffler, Denny McCarthy, Lanto Griffin and a slew of veterans looking to take home the PGA Tour's final opposite-field event of the calendar year.
The event is played this year at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda.
This is the final opposite-field event of the year on the PGA Tour, with these events only played opposite the four co-sanctioned World Golf Championships events and the British Open Championship. There are not opposite-field events against the other two events in the Asian Swing or for the FedEx Cup playoff events.
The Bermuda Championship winner earns 300 FedEx Cup points, compared to the 500 typically awarded for regular PGA Tour events. However, the winner of the tournament earns a two-season exemption on the PGA Tour and is exempt for the remainder of the current season. The victory also gets players into a variety of invitational events.
However, opposite-field events do not get winners into the Masters. The winner does get into the Sentry Tournament of Champions, The Players Championship and the PGA Championship.
