Soft balls aren't going anywhere. Lots of golfers like them, particularly those with slower swing speeds. And while they may not max out distance for a golfer, some prefer them.

Titleist is looking to keep advancing in the softer ball market, introducing a new TruFeel golf ball to replace the DT TruSoft. The company says the new ball remains soft but is longer with a new low-compression TruTouch core and a new aerodynamics package called TruFit for more distance off the tee and with longer clubs. The TruFlex cover delivers soft feel while looking to provide short-iron control and greenside spin.

A new TruFeel sidestamp has been designed to double as an alignment aid.

“We know from our extensive player testing that golfers who gravitate toward the softest-feeling golf balls are also clearly focused on performance,” said Michael Mahoney, Titleist's vice-president of golf ball marketing. “TruFeel strikes the perfect balance of extremely soft feel and all-around performance.”

The Titleist TruFeel is available for $23 per dozen in white and optic yellow, with a new matte red color coming in January 2020.
