Sun Mountain’s Kube looks to make golf travel bags easier to transport without clubs

Golf travel bags are a must for any golfer who plans on taking their clubs with them on the road.

While some golfers prefer hard-case covers, most turn to soft-side bags. The best soft-side golf travel bags offer protection for your clubs in all the right places, while coming in a lighter package that stores more easily. However, soft-side travel bags historically are stored like a puddle of goo. They don't take a permanent, rigid shape, which means they often store awkwardly in some folded fashion. The nature of soft-sided bags also makes them an odd carry when there are no golf clubs in them.

Sun Mountain is looking to fix that problem with their new Kube golf travel bag.

The Kube, which retails for $230, is a soft-side travel bag that folds neatly into a compact shape, like a piece of luggage.

Weighing just under 7 lbs., the Kube folds into a 9” x 13” x 14.5” package, made possible with a ballistic-like fabric connected to plastic half-shells. When opened and unfolded into a full-size travel bag, there's dense foam padding through the top of the bag to protect golf clubs. The fabric is further reinforced in wear areas, and there are heavy-duty, full-length, two-way zippers to make loading and unloading clubs easy.

The Kube comes in eight colors, and Sun Mountain says it's perfect for a traveler who occasionally travels with their clubs.
