Best golf shots of the year

In 2018, we saw some impressive golf shots. In this article, we will take back at the best golf shots of the year. These stunning shots reminded us just how talented these golf pros truly are. Watching these shots live can be a fantastic experience. However, what makes these shots even sweeter is when you have placed a bet on them. You can benefit from betting on golf with experts. There are many golf betting websites that have a number of markets available. This makes it easy to start betting on these significant strikes.  All of these shots met our rigid criteria, which means it had to be something truly special to get a spot on our list.

1. Tiger Woods at the Valspar Championship

One of the standout strikes from the year came from Tiger Woods who was looking to re-establish himself once more. He managed a number of impressive birdies at the Valspar Championship. However, the pick of the bunch was a 44-foot strike that managed to put him just one spot off the lead. This type of shot showed that the talent had not gone away from the legend.

2. Rory McIlroy at the Arnold Palmer Invitational

Rory McIlroy largely had a mixed year; however, there were some highlights. One of his best strikes came in the Arnold Palmer Invitational which was held in the Bay Hill. He hit a magnificent 25-foot birdie which capped off a fantastic performance. He went on to win the tournament, but it would be his only win of the year.

3. Jason Day at the Wells Fargo Championship

The third shot on our list was also hugely memorable. Jason Day was looking for victory at Quail Hollow. He managed to make a nice tee shot on the par-3 17th. The ball eventually settled less than 3 feet away, and he put it away. The shot made him the only player to get a birdie on that hole for the final round. He came away with the victory.

4. Brandt Snedeker at Wyndham Championship

Snedeker managed to strike an impressive 20-foot birdie in the first round of the Wyndham Championship. In the round, he became the only person in the whole year to shoot a sub-60 round. This memorable strike was the best of the bunch.

5. Dustin Johnson at St Jude Classic

Johnson was looking to close in on victory at the St Jude Classic. He managed to do so in style with a fine strike from 169 yards with the 9-iron. This shot sealed the victory for Johnson.

6. Tiger Woods at the British Open

Woods had a comeback season that was hugely memorable. It is no wonder that this is the second of his shots to make it on our list. This particular shot left the British crowd stunned. His previous shot had landed in the bunker. The next 132-yard bunker shot was simply spectacular. It put power into the wedge, and the audacious shot landed a few feet away from the hole. It was a piece of play that defined the type of player Tiger Woods always has been.

7. Dustin Johnson at Sentry Tournament of Champions

Dustin Johnson hit an incredible shot in the final round of the Sentry Tournament. His huge 430-yard drive nearly resulted in an ace, and it stands out as one of the best shots of the year.

Closing Thoughts

2018 certainly saw some magnificent Golf shots. From this list, you can see that we were truly blessed. The heavy hitters and some rookies managed to come through with some unbelievable strikes. We look forward to compiling this list again with the very best shots of the current year.
