The 2019 British Open Championship weather forecast looks to include the chance of rain falling on Thursday and Friday at Royal Portrush Golf Club, and the updated forecast for the week calls for substantial wind throughout the week in Antrim, Northern Ireland.

The general weather forecast calls for a chance of some raing during all championship days, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s. The wind will be slightly heavier on championship Sunday, but the wind is blowing out of a different direction all four days, with slight variations on Thursday and Sunday.

Of course, winds can clock and change throughout the day, but it appears the wind won't be a big factor in the championship for long stretches of time.

2019 British Open Championship updated weather forecast

  • Thursday: 62 degrees, partly cloudy with light rain through the day, W 13 mph winds with gusts to 20 mph
  • Friday: 61 degrees, partly cloudy, SE 10 mph winds, 70 percent chance of rain
  • Saturday: 62 degrees, partly cloudy, NW 12 mph winds, 40 percent chance of rain in the morning
  • Sunday: 66 degrees, partly cloudy, S 15 mph winds with gusts to 20 mph, 50 percent chance of rain
