When adidas Golf introduced its adicross collection, the idea was to create a series of golf apparel that wasn't traditional but could fit on the course, on vacation, in casual situations -- a street-inspired versatility.
For 2019, adidas has expanded the adicross offering, bringing in Primeknit technology and adding more multi-purpose footwear. Primeknit is a seamless material, which gives it a woven look that lays flatter on the skin while still having performance multi-way stretch. Primeknit also is cool to the touch and helps wick moisture from the body before sweat even shows up on your clothes.
Primeknit can be found in a polo ($110), sweatshirt ($200) and Anorak hoodie ($180) in the collection.
The hybrid shorts ($85) give the look of beachwear while having an elastic waist with drawcord for a custom fit, as well a zipper for the realities of a round of golf.
adicross shoes
The adicross line has two new pairs of shoes: the adicross PPF and the Crossknit 3.0.
The Crossknit 3.0 ($150) uses the same last as adidas’ Ultraboost running shoe. It has a lace closure with reflective laces and internal lace loops to hide the laces. The upper is made of a water-repellent heathered textile and has a Puremotion outsole. Of course, Boost cushioning returns energy to the golfer (or walker, or runner) as they move.
The adicross PPF ($90) is new and features a sneaker-inspired leather, with microfiber and textile materials to provide a breathable feel. The Puremotion outsole features 169 contact-point lugs for traction. Bounce midsole cushioning makes the shoe comfortable in any situation.
The entire adidas Golf adicross apparel line is available Dec. 1, with the shoes available Feb. 1, 2019.
