Phil Mickelson's 2018 schedule should begin with him serving a dual function of player and sort-of host at the CareerBuilder Challenge in the California desert near Palm Springs.

Then we should see Mickelson at Torrey Pines for the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open, Waste Management Phoenix Open and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Mickelson has regularly committed to The Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and it's expected that will continue.

Mickelson should be in the WGC-Mexico Championship, but it's unclear if he will make the trek again after Bones Mackay had some food poisoning issues there in 2017.  He will be in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, as a late commit. He likes the Shell Houston Open before the Masters. He'll be in all four major championships.

It's unclear if Mickelson will play in the Wells Fargo Championship, or really much beyond April. However, he should compete in The Players and the Memorial Tournament. We should see him at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, the week prior to the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.

We should see Mickelson in all four FedEx Cup playoff events and he'll play some role, likely as a player, at the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National near Paris, France.
