Dustin Johnson has new irons in his bag for the first time in 3 years, moving into TaylorMade's P730 muscleback irons for the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, where he has the lead after 36 holes.

Johnson moved into the new irons, dubbed the "DJ Proto", after not competing on the PGA Tour after the Tour Championship and Presidents Cup in New Jersey. Coming back in China this week to kick off his 2017-18 PGA Tour season, Johnson was comfortable in moving away from the 2014 Tour Preferred MB forged irons which he had in the bag for his first major win at the 2016 US Open.

Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy have also put the irons in their bag, also with specific Proto versions designed to accommodate their personal preferences.
