NCAA 2017 Player of the Year award winner Sam Burns turned pro in September, and now he's landed a pair of key endorsement deals as he joins the paid ranks.
The 21-year-old LSU product has signed an equipment contract with Callaway Golf with a 14-club deal. He is currently playing a GBB Epic driver and fairway wood, Apex Pro 16 irons and an Odyssey O-Works #7S putter.
Last season, as a sophomore, Burns won 4 tournaments, including the David Toms Intercollegiate, The Prestige at PGA West and the Baton Rouge Regional. On top of being named NCAA Division I Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year, he was voted SEC Player of the Year and a 1st Team All-American. He also set the LSU single-season scoring record. As an amateur, he finished T-6 at the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship in July.
Burns has also signed an apparel deal with adidas Golf, wearing apparel and footwear for the 3 Stripes as he gets his career going. Burns makes his pro debut this week at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss.
