Doing so much fantasy golf coverage here at Golf News Net, we wanted to create a way for our readers and fantasy golf lovers alike to connect on a season-long competition.
After success with our first pool, we decided a new Survivor One and Done fantasy golf would be the most fun. So, welcome to GNN's first (of several?) 2018 fantasy golf survivor pool!
Beginning with the 2018 Sony Open in Hawaii, entrants will pick one golfer each week -- one that hasn't already been used during the season. If the entrant's player makes the cut that week, then they remain in the competition and the money their pick earns is added to their total. If the entrant's player misses the cut that week, then they're out of the running for the pool. It's Survivor One and Done.
During weeks with no-cut PGA Tour events, it'll be a free shot at money for anyone remaining in the pool.
The winner will be the last entrant to have not picked someone who has missed the cut. In the event there are multiple sole survivors, then total money earned through the season will be the tie-breaker.
We'll pay 80 percent of the pool to the winner, and we'll pay 20 percent to the runner-up. We'll set the entry fee at $20 USD (no rake), and you can enter up to 5 times. Anyone can enter, regardless of geography.
If you'd like to join our 2018 Survivor pool, here's how:
