2018 European Tour schedule adds new events in Oman, the Philippines

The 2018 European Tour schedule has been released, and it includes 48 events, complete with four new tournaments for the season: the NBO Oman Golf Classic, the Belgian Knockout and the Philippines Golf Championship and the European Golf Team Championships.

The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open returns after a one-year hiatus.

The schedule highlights the Rolex Series events, seven tournaments with a purse of at least $7 million, with the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai having an $8 million purse.

Disappearing from the schedule are the Alfred Dunhill Championship, Shenzhen International, Open de Portugal, The Rocco Forte Open, Paul Lawrie Match Play and Fiji International.
