Tiger Woods' privacy was apparently invaded vis a vis his former girlfriend, champion skier Lindsey Vonn, who had her phone hacked with the contents released online that included nude photos of herself and Woods.
It is unclear who released the photos, which were published by a website called Celeb Jihad, which were likely hacked as part of security flaws in cloud storage often attributed to iCloud, Apple's cloud-storage service. The photos released are explicit, though some released included Vonn selfies and an image of the couple, who dated from 2013 through 2015.
Vonn was disgusted by the release, with a spokesperson saying in a statement to People, “It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos. Lindsey will take all necessary and appropriate legal action to protect and enforce her rights and interests. She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.”
TMZ, which isn't always accurate (but this seems obvious), reports Woods will use his legal counsel to go after those who post and publish the pictures. As of Aug. 23, the photos were removed from Celeb Jihad.
Photos of singer Miley Cyrus, actress Kristen Stewart and actress/singer Katherine McPhee were also released.
